Valentine’s Day has become even more special to me since becoming a mom- I love spending the day with my little Valentines! Creating meaningful traditions and celebrating holidays with my children are some of my favorite parts of motherhood. I am so excited to share our traditions and Valentine’s Day gift ideas with you in hopes of inspiring your own celebration!
Every year, I decorate a festive kids’ table, we eat all the heart-shaped foods, spend time together, and give Love Baskets to my kids. I can’t wait to show you how I will be elevating the excitement by incorporating LeapFrog toys into this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration!
I set this year’s Valentine’s table with LeapFrog Sweet Treats Musical Tea Set. Is there anything better than having a tea party together? LeapFrog's educational and engaging toys offer opportunities for children to learn while having fun, making it a fantastic way for parents and kids to bond.
My kids range in age, and I always find pretend play to be a great unifier. They can host their own tea party while learning about colors, counting, matching, and practicing social skills like sharing and taking turns. The teapot itself is just adorable; my kids were instantly enamored by its fun songs and magical colors. The tea can even be seen sloshing in the front window and heard as it is poured out. I know this set will lead to so many fun tea parties and create moments of joy and bonding among my kids.
One thing I aim to inspire in my children is a love for learning. That is why this Valentine’s Day, I have included some fun LeapFrog toys in their Love Baskets. What is a Love Basket? The idea behind this little gift is to package up extra-festive fun, like matching pajamas or books for the season. I like to add a little toy or activity to personalize it for each child. This year I’ve chosen some amazing, engaging, and educational LeapFrog products that I know they are sure to LOVE! These LeapFrog gifts not only add an educational element to Valentine's Day but also provide hours of entertainment and skill-building for little ones.
I filled my youngest’s Love Basket with heart jammies, a sweet soft doll, and the LeapFrog Scout and Violet 100 Words Book. This interactive book introduces over 100 age-appropriate words chosen by learning experts, spanning various categories including pets, animals, food, mealtime, colors, activities, opposites, and outside. Touch a word on the page to hear the word, sound effects, and fun facts. Press the star to hear fun theme songs! With the option to explore words, songs, and instructions in both English and Spanish, this book also offers a full bilingual experience.
I added the LeapFrog 2-in-1 LeapTop Touch to my son’s Love Basket. With a screen that flips between keyboard and tablet modes, this laptop features five learning modes: ABCs, numbers, games, music, and messages. I can even customize it to help him learn to spell his own name. He loves to pretend to be just like his dad, who works as a software engineer, by tapping away on his keyboard and sending emails to Scout! Along with the laptop, his Love Basket includes heart pajamas, a truck, and a matching book.
In my older daughter’s Love Basket, you’ll find cozy heart jammies, a bead kit, and the LeapFrog LeapPad Academy. Designed by LeapFrog learning experts, this tablet provides a safe and engaging environment for children to explore and learn with 20 educational apps and creativity tools. She can expand her learning with LeapSearch, LeapFrog’s web browser that includes kid-friendly websites and videos. In addition to the curated content, parents have the flexibility to enhance the tablet experience by downloading popular Android apps or selecting from hundreds of games, videos, and music sold separately in the LeapFrog App Center.
I could go on and on about my favorite feature of the tablet: a free 3-month subscription of their interactive learning program, LeapFrog Academy. Each of my children can be guided through their own progressive, interactive, and age-appropriate learning adventures with over 2,000 games, activities, and more engaging content.
I hope that I’ve given you some great ideas for celebrating Valentine’s Day with your little Valentines this year. Here’s to a Happy Valentine's Day filled with learning and fun!
