Spring Break in our house is all about exploration and adventure! Living in New England, by the time Spring comes, we are so ready to get outside and explore nature- not that we can’t do it during the winter, but it’s so rejuvenating to see the world start to come awake and alive after a long winter.

With four kids—Theo (11), Josie and Margo (9), and Beckham (4)—there’s never a dull moment. Whether we’re heading outside for a nature walk or diving into a new learning experience at home, I love finding ways to keep their curiosity alive and keep them learning and having FUN! That’s why I was so excited to introduce them to the LeapFrog Magic Adventures Binoculars and the LeapFrog Magic Adventures Globe—both of which make learning feel like an epic adventure.

One of my absolute favorite features is the library of 340+ stunning BBC images and videos, which introduces kids to a wide range of animals, plants, and fungi. I love that this encourages my kids to learn key scientific terms and the basics of classification, helping to build both their knowledge and vocabulary in a fun, engaging way. While out on one of our adventures, an animal we’d never seen before ran right in front of us—so fast that we couldn’t snap a picture! We weren’t sure if it was a beaver or an otter, so we used the LeapFrog Magic Adventures Binoculars to look it up. Turns out, it was an otter! The kids were thrilled to watch a little video and learn amazing facts about the otter on their interactive binoculars.

To make spring break extra fun, we are going to set up a nature scavenger hunt using the LeapFrog binoculars! Each child will get a list of different nature categories—such as a bird, an insect, a flowering plant, and a land mammal—and set off to find them.
